Sorry if its the wrong forum, please move if its the wrong forum.

Hi, we are a Cognos workshop, but we are evaluating Powerpivot for some of our client needs.

I am trying to do a Proof Of Concept of a complete Microsoft BI Solution and how to connect all the pieces together. I have the below hardware with me.

OS: Windows 7 Professional (64 Bit)
Office 2010 (32 Bit) Installation

I have installed the following powerpivot add-in and created a neat looking pivot table in excel.
Powerpivot for Excel Add-In(x86)

But my Next steps are
a) Export the Powerpivot workbook to a sharepoint site
b) Also, try to evaluate Powerview, SSDT etc.

Can you please let me know if its possible to do this PoC with a single machine(mentioned above).

I just wanted to get the proper order of installations to do without facing any issues:

Is this the correct order:
a) First install Sharepoint Server 2010
b) Install SQL Server 2012 Enterprise edition(this will include SSDT, through which i can create a data model, publish it and use it with a Powerview)

Please Advise.

Thanks,
Kon

Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
Sharepoint Server 2010 or 2013 and then you actually need to install the Powerpivot Integration for Sharepoint.
You don't need to create a Tabular Model outside Powerpivot to create a Power View report. Instead, you can use Excel 2013 or Power View directly from your Sharepoint Site connecting to a Powerpivot file that has been uploading to the Sharepoint Site.
SSDT it's helpful when you want to create a Tabular Model or specific applications using your Powerpivot Workbook as your "base" to say something.

hope this helps.
