PowerPivot - Updating PP table with new columns

I have imported data from Excel tables & SQL. I format the Power Pivot table perfectly, then find out I need to add another column to the data set. However, the Power Pivot table seems to be in a read-only mode. Is this a common error? I want to just add a calculated column and/or import another column from my source data and work with that in the Power Pivot Table?

Are there any workarounds?

Kindly,
James

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Imported data are in read only mode. You can use it in your calculations but to change it you need to change your source data. If it is another excel file just modify this to your needs, save & close file, then refresh appropriate table in your data model (Home->Refresh)
