So I built a powerpivot model that imports information from 10-12 spreadsheets, but I can only refresh the model on the computer I built it from, because that's where the link references work from.

I work in an Office 365 environment. What's the easiest way to share the powerpivot spreadsheet so that anyone can refresh the data, but it's still easy to update the information in an excel format? I'm sure this will take a bit of redesign work on my part and I'm open to very different solutions, but let me know.

Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
I can think of a few answers:
  • Bring in the data from the xlsx sheets via Power Query, and then setup the Data Management Gateway to support the refreshes.
  • Give up lettings others refresh. Refresh on some schedule on your client machine and upload to O365. Best best here is "Power Update"
  • Figure out where the 10-12 sheets get THEIR data, and go directly to that source...
  • Cry...
