powerpivot issues

I've run into some issues hopefully someone can help me fix...
I have a powerpivot excel file with 6 CSV files as the data source. One of the files is over 1.5M lines, the others average 15K lines.

I use CSV's because the data is collected from an environment which I do not have online access to.
My goal was to refresh the CSV files periodically and then go into my powerpivot window and refresh the data.

Today I did that - created new CSV's, same file names, same columns - just revised data.
I try to open the powerpivot window from the powerpivot ribbon in excel and it just hangs. Excel is unresponsive for about 5 mins then it comes back but no powerpivot window.
When I try to save the spread sheet afterwards it just hangs and I have to reboot to kill excel.
One time when I clicked the powerpivot window button after 5 mins I got the blue screen of death. This is a new lenovo T430s Win7 64bit laptop, core i5, SSD drive and 16GB ram.

I uninstalled powerpivot from control panel and deleted the directories under Prog files / microsoft analysis services (both 32bit and 64bit).
Reinstalled powerpivot and am having the same issues.

Any ideas? I pretty much cannot do any work on my powerpivots right now.

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
I'm running out of options...
I removed power pivot, ran the .NET repair tool which basically reinstalled it. Subscribed to a 30 day trial of Office 365 E3 where the power pivot is an included add-in. Same problem. Even Office 365 hangs when I click the power pivot window button. I'm on the verge of reimaging my laptop to factory settings and start from scratch. But the other issue is that I can't get a copy of office professional pro 2010 anywhere.

Well this was a pretty painful ordeal. I wish i knew what the actual issue was but i guess that will remain a mystery. I restored my machine back to factory with the system recogery partition. I'm running on a 30 day trial of office 365. Powerpivot is working again. I wish i could have figured out a way to save office 2010 but i couldn't.
Tomorrow I'll try to be productive with powerpivot. Hopefully more stable in 365.
