I am having problems installing powerpivot on my machine and after searching the net for almost a day, am on the brink of giving up. Can anyone help...
I had an old version of powerpivot V1 installed, decided to uninstall and reinstall an updated version, and now, the software will not complete the installation and errors just before completion. Below is a link to the error i am receiving. I removed Office completely and performed a fresh install with no avail. I re-downloaded the powerpivot installation file with no luck.
When the error appears just before completing the installation, i can open Excel and the powerpivot addin appears and works as normal. For some reason it is failing to write whatever it needs to complete the install.
