PowerPivot importing data

Hello,

I recently bought Bill's book powerpivot and I need some help? I am on pg 18 and trying to data from the demo file but half of the rows are empty with no dates in it and the format of the remaining dates is dd/mm/yy

Please can any help me here??

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
