Hi all,

Learning PowerPivot, really needig some help. In a normal pivot table, I'm used to being able to create calculated fields etc. I can't figure out how to do the same thing in a powerpivot pivot table...

For simplicity sake...
I have a hierarchy table loaded in PowerPivot, Sales By day for managers, and retuns by month for managers.

I am able to create a powerpivot pivot table that rolls data up by month.

Name, Sales Mo 1, Returns MO1, Sales Mo 2, Returns Mo 2.

How can I do something like...add Sales Mo 1 with Sales Mo 2

or Sales Mo 1 minues returns mo 1...

here's an example of a dax formula i tried after watching you tube...but when I drop the measure in the "values" section of my pivot table, everthing disappears???

=calculate(sum('D2D_4DTR_Summary_Report'[Sum of IPTV_1_MO_PREV])+sum('RECONCILES'[Sum of RECS_1_MO_PREV]))

I would be gratefule for any help...
