Hi

I've upgraded Excel from 32 bit to 64 bit as per a previous post which I'll feed back on - looks OK front end however the Powerpivot add in with both a previous model and in a blank workbook gives me the following error message:

1. The following system error occured: No such host is known
2. Errors in the OLE DB provider
3. umable to load the vertipaq engine

I have allowed Excel past my AVG firewall which was previous blocked however no luck.

Why can't Microsoft make anything simple, their products just don't seem to advance or get easier decade after decade

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
School boy error on my part, I still had SQL powerpivot 32 bit installed however a quick remove and reinstall sorted it.
