Hi All,

I have been using Power Query recently and have noticed that it has removed the ability to connect to the Worksheet Connection dialog box via the Connections button on the Data Ribbon...

Is there any way of accessing this dialog box window now Power Query is in use or does other functionality now take over this? Sorry I am a little new to the data connectivity side of Excel and am still getting used to it...

Any help would be gratefully accepted...

Thanks
Ian

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
maybe load the query (or table) you want to the sheet, then delete just loaded query table and you should see connection
or right click on your Query , choose Load to then Only Create Connection

if you don't have any query/table in Queries&Connections pane so how do you want to see any connection?

Hi...

Well i wanted to understand why i am missing access to the Worksheet Connections dialog box to manually create connections to other worksheets and specifc cells... you can see here in this Office article what i was looking for...

since i have been using Power Query this dialog box and window i cant get anymore... i just wanted to know if that is usual and if it is how i can do the same type of simple data links as this once did...

I hope that makes sense?!

The problem exist from the years
IMHO only MS knows why this is happening and they haven't fixed it yet
On the net you can find solution how to restore connection but not how to fix it global
You can smile and live with it :)
