When I use Power Query, the query pane keeps opening whenever I select a cell inside the query. Even if I click the X to close the pane, the next time I open the workbook, the pane reopens. Is there a default setting somewhere that I can disable this?

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
That's not normal and no config I know of. Do you have the latest version? Try uninstalling and installing the latest version.

In my experience, this is how Power Query has always worked in 2010 and 2013. It's a built in "feature". Matt, are you sure you don't experience this?

Well it sounds like there are 2 use cases. This never happens to me, but then again I never load data into a table in Excel - I only ever load to Power Pivot.

the PQ team is very responsive. Send a frown and give them the feedback.
