Is there a way to see how many rows are produced at each step of a query?

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
You can add custom steps in the advanced editor and drill down to the count in each case.
