Hi I've created a few power queries. I connect sales and sales history and load as sales ALL. Same for receiving and transfers.

I used to take 6 minutes to refresh the tables (all but HISTORY as nothing new there). Now just refreshing the sales all. Takes forever (hasnt finshed yet).

Any thoughts on what slows it down. I have a powerful pc. The data is coming from Access that connects to our sql server.

Thanks

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
Does Access have direct storage of the data or is it a linked table? Can you connect direct to SQL server? That is likely to be much faster.

I'm having a hard time connecting direct to the SQL SERVER. I may not have full rights, I've reached out to our software developers. I can OBDC using access and have written queries and have only created connections to the queries.

Not sure if thats the best way to access the data. I can grab the tables from our SQL SERVER and load them into a table, but the option of creating a connection is grayed out. But I would think having the tables loaded in EXCEL would be way to slow.

Funny enough, i can create a query in excel the old school way, just not a power query.

I hope this makes some sense.

Thanks
