Power query from another query

Hi all,

If I have a workbook A that combined data from let's say 5 other children workbooks using power query. Then a workbook B pulls data from workbook A. In that case. if the children workbooks got updated, will workbook B got updated too? Or do I have to refresh workbook A?

I'm doing this in Excel by the way. I don't know why it got moved into Power BI but I assume they are similar

did you try refresh B after the source is updated?
