Power Query Editor will not open in Excel

Hi,
I am having some real trouble today with Power Query in Excel - the editor window simply will not launch. Every time I try to open it, even on a completely new workbook, the "Loading .Net framework" message is displayed at the bottom. Excel then acts like the window has been opened (ie. can't interact with it), and on some attempts the thumbnail on the Windows 10 taskbar suggests it is open, except the thumbnail is completely white.

I'm on Version 2103 Build13901.20462 64-bit. My IT department has already tried the following things:
* Full uninstallation (using the MS SARA tool) and reinstall of Office 64 bit using the Office Deployment Tool.
* Running the below command on CMD to re-register all .dll files: for %i in (%windir%\system32\*.dll) do regsvr32.exe /s %i
* Installing 3.5 .Net Framework

.. all with no success!

Does anyone have any experience with this sort of issue and have anything they can suggest?

Many thanks in advance

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Were you able to resolve this? Just ran into this exact issue today.
I would love to be able to help - but a few days after I posted this it just resolved itself! The IT guy and me were both mystified by it and could only assume some sort of O365 update had flushed out the issue. It's incredibly annoying not knowing - sorry!

Thanks for the response! Yes it is quite frustrating, can’t seem to find a solution - may have to get IT to revert to a prior excel update.
