I have a Power Query returning to the Excel worksheet where the "Adjust column width" option in Table > External Data Properties is turned on.
Occasionally, after refreshing the query, the columns widths stop adjusting correctly and every column of the entire query is reset to the standard 8.43 width of an Excel column. No matter what I do, I cannot get the query to correctly adjust the width on its own. I've tried turning it off, refreshing, turning back on, refreshing, and it doesn't resolve it. The only thing that does work is to change the Load To... and turn off loading to worksheet, create a new worksheet and reload it to the new worksheet. This fixes it temporarily, but at random intervals the issue will recur.
Has anyone experienced anything like this or have any ideas on a way to resolve it? I haven't been able to detect any pattern when the issue occurs: nothing is filtered, no changes have been made to the query in terms of adding/removing columns, etc.
