In order to get a Microsoft Excel Web Query File (.iqy) into a Pivot Table, I do the following:
Insert
Pivot Table
In "Create Pivot Table" click "Use External Database Source" and "Choose Connection"
In "Existing Connections" click "Browse for more"
Select the .iqy file
And... you are ready to go

However, I can't figure out how to get this file into Power Pivot. All methods I have tried come up with errors?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
