Hi, I'm new to the power pivot world. I have a question can I join tables from the same server but different databases.
For example, server name mvmppacsdb01 database name ACVDW
server name mvmppacsdb01 database name ACSQL.

I need to do a left join between this database environments. I can only do a equal join by creating relationship between their primary key from each table.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
Power pivot is not a relational DB. Every relationship is one to many (excel 2010 - 2013) and while technically it is a left outer join, it is better to think of the 2 tables as lookup tables and data tables (or dimension tables and fact tables if you like). So if you tables are one of each, then just bring them in from the 2 different sources and join them - no issues. If you need to combine them into 1 single table with a left outer join to make 1 new data table, you would be best to bring both tables into power query and join them there, or do it in one of your servers.
