Hi
If I created any table in any sheet of my file, it will be automatically included in the Filed List of the PowerPivot-based pivot table. Why is that and how can I stop that. For example I just created a table called Hello, and right away I see it listed it there (please see screenshot below). It is confusing, because I need to go to ALL first and select my table and then I can click on Acitve Table and that would show only the active one but Listing all tables is confusing. The Hello table I just created is not part of Data Model so why it is added? same for other tables, they are not part of the data Model, yet they are added. Thank you so much.

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
I found out that the solution is actually very simple. 1) Add the table to the data model. 2) Hide the table in the data model.
