I am seeking help with a Power Pivot (PP) Table Measure formula. I am somewhat new to PP and am struggling with recreating what once use to be a calculated field and calculated item. I am starting to understand how to create calculation with-in the PP window data table, as creating added columns, however, whenever I have done this, it collapses my pivot table once I drag the new field into the value filed of the field table. But this is not my main concern..

I have figured out simple formulas to divide one column by the next, however, I am still struggling with the following:

How do I write a formula with in a new measure so that I can produce within the pivot table, basically what I have manually done with a formula outside the PP in column “T” displayed below, and then how do I insert it into the PP so that it falls in Column “T”. I use to use a calculated items for this in the past regular pivot tables. I simply want to take the total number of case for 2014 and subtract from the total number of cases in 2013 to create a variance in column “T”. Below are the screen shots of my current PP and field list. I really need the formula written for me, and then I should be able to learn and create more.
