Hi, I'm new to the forum. this is my first post.
I have been trying to get started with power pivot. I have an excel workbook has several accounting formatted columns. When I load this workbook and others like it into power pivot, it changes one of those columns to TEXT format. This is useless to me cause I need to get totals etc from that column. I have checked and recheck the formatting on all those cells... none of them is general or text... and I have done this over and over again with the same result. The other accounting formatted columns come in great ... just that one is wrong??? I don't know what to do about this? Have you ever encountered this? Any Suggestions?
