Dear Mr. Excel,
While I am trying to create a relationship between two tables using pivot table features, I received an error message tells me that that connection is not allowed.
Error message:-
( We cannot create this relationship because it would create a circular relationship path)

I have no idea what the above message means and I need your advice of how to solve this error.
Many thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
Can you include a screenshot of what the tables look like next to each other with the error message showing?

You can upload your screenshot to Imgur (no need to create an account) and then use the Insert Image button here to reference it. Reference the Direct Link (email & IM) URL from Imgur.
