Posting a picture Win 7 Excel 2007

How do you post a JPG/PNG picture to your post? I cut and pasted a PNG into one of my posts but when I posted it the picture disappeared. I see that you can place an URL so the the link fetches the picture. However, if I am at work I use the snipping tool to capture PNG pictures of my spreadsheet to the clip board to post. As they say "a picture is worth a 1,000 words".
