I'm using Excel 2013 and Windows 8.1.
When I open a workbook, Excel resizes the one I'm opening to match the size of the most recently used open workbook and cascades the workbooks, with the newly-opened workbook the last one in the cascade (in the bottom right). As I open additional workbooks, they get cascaded in the same way.
This even happens even when starting a new Excel session. If I close all windows and shut down Excel and then open a workbook, that workbook doesn't open the way it was previously saved - it opens in the size and position of the most recently closed file. And then additional workbooks, when opened, get resized and cascaded as described above.
Is there a way to stop this? Instead of resizing and cascading, is there a way to make Excel open a workbook in the same size and position it was in when last closed, regardless of other open workbooks?
Thank you.
