I am trying to make a chart to figure weight lost gains and losses per person. I need the beginning weight for the month with week 1's weight, week 2 and so on. I also need, in between the weeks, the gain or loss amount which I have figured by subtracting the two. When I get to the end of the month, I have to know each person's amount gained for the month and each person's loss for the month. This is when I am having problems because the weekly weight is in between. I have figured out how to do this in columns per week for all the participants, but not across for the individual.

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
Wouldn't subtracting the starting first week weight from the last week weight give you the gain/loss info?

Yes, that would work if it were that simple. The spreadsheet HAS to be in this order: Name; Beginning of the Month Weight; Week 1 Weight; Week 1 Difference; Week 2 Weight; Week 2 Difference; Week 3 Weight; Week 3 Difference; Week 4 Weight; Week 4 Difference; Week 5 Weight; Week 5 Difference; Month Loss; Month Gain

I need to somehow separate each week's difference and add it in the appropriate gain/loss column. I have not been able to figure it out.
