i have a data and this data have, policyholder name, buyer name, credit limit approved, utilization of credit limit , I want a macro in the background that displays a warning (msgbox) or popup notification if the policyholder cell did not utilize the credit limit approved

thank you

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
So much of that would depend on the structure of your data. Can you please post some sample data and expected results?
Just be sure to remove/dummy-up any sensitive data first.

MrExcel has a tool called “XL2BB” that lets you post samples of your data that will allow us to copy/paste it to our Excel spreadsheets, so we can work with the same copy of data that you are. Instructions on using this tool can be found here: XL2BB Add-in

Note that there is also a "Test Here” forum on this board. This is a place where you can test using this tool (or any other posting techniques that you want to test) before trying to use those tools in your actual posts.

Also, you say you want this running in the background. So how exactly is the data changing? What should trigger the code to run?

Have you tried conditional formatting for this? I will sometimes create a conditional formatting rule that makes a cell's background red when the row's data doesn't fit a formula. In this case you might have a formula that looks at the surrounding cells, and if they're all filled out but the credit limit approved cell is blank, you make that cell red to alert the user.

As Joe4 said, a lot depends on the structure of your data, but I try to stick with the simplest solution, and conditional formatting is relatively simple.
