Hi there,

How can i make a population pyramid in excel, including age in the middle of pyramid and male-female rates on the right and left part of screen, i.e. something like this

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
I wish I could convince people that the two sided population pyramid, often called a "butterfly" or tornado plot, is not a good way to show such data. It is not easy at all to compare the shapes of the distributions when they point in opposite directions.

I wrote a tutorial some time ago, Tornado Charts and Dot Plots, which discusses more effective alternatives.

Thank you for the answer!

I already know these webpages, i have done my own research before i writte here in the forum...My point is that none of these, as you see, doesn't look like mine in the photo above..Even they are popualation pyramids, they are different versions (don't include the ages in the middle and differ slightly in the formation)...I have seen many videos in youtube which explain step by step the procedure but mine comes up more like this in the photo (and a little worst) and even if try and regulate axis and design or lay out etc.still it's not a pyramid)
