Hey guys, I'm given a number of student id's and I need to extract the classes they're taking from a classes file. I can't seem to find anywhere how to populate cells based upon this criteria. In the classes file, you would be correct in assuming the majority of students have more than one class (at least 3-5 records per student; around 28,000 total). So I'm trying to figure out how to take the id's of the students I have, and grab their respective class records from the class file, and than populate it into a sheet, or anywhere really. I've already completed this "project", but I'm looking for a more efficient way. Before, I just took the two files I have (file with student id's, and classes file) and imported them into Microsoft Access; than I used the Query Design to join the tables together, and from their it was easy. But I'd like to know how to do it in Excel. Let me know please!! :) Thanks!
