IT send me a number of CSV files with I use to populate an access database.
The propblem is the format the CSV file comes in...

An example is below, all the stuff in red bold I dont need, I am only intrested in the data in Blue with its headers

Report Run Date: 11 Dec 2003
DATA Performance Summary Report for responding to a ERROR within 10 working days

Reporting Period: 01 OCT 2003 to 31 OCT 2003
Supplier: ALL USERS

Events triggered by USER

USER Successes Failures Percentage Failures
JOHN 72 0 0
RODG 70 0 0
BILL 1 0 0

LDP Events triggered by Data Collector
Supplier Successes Failures Percentage Failures
ARGO 5 0 0
BLUE 4 0 0
GRIT 14 0 0
SILL 11 0 0
AMBR 4 0 0
TROY 1 0 0
FORD 1 0 0
DYNO 2 0 0

--------------------

I have tried the import specification function on the import text wizard but it doesnt work, anybody got any ideas.

IT have already rejected my idea to change the format of the CSV reports!

Import the data into a raw data file with all the data. Then run a make table query on the data, and look for the data you don't want, and place this exclusions in the criteria.

Example

Field 1 Criteria
Not Like "Report*" and Not Like "Data*" and Not Like "Supplier*" and Not Like "Events*" and Not Like "LDP*" and Not Like " *"

This should give you a processed data file.
