I have been racking my brain and google for a few days now and cannot figure this out.

Column K is sparsely populated and I cannot figure out a formula to copy down the data from the most recently populated cell in that column whenever the adjacent cell in column L is populated.

can anyone offer some assistance with this?

thanks!

Excel Facts

Control Word Wrap
Press Alt+Enter to move to a new row in a cell. Lets you control where the words wrap.
A formula cannot copy data. So are you willing to use Vba.

An if so please explain more.

Are you saying if you enter a value in column L you want that value copied into the first empty cell in column K

You said:

copy down the data from the most recently populated cell. How would we know what was the most recently populated cell if some cells in column K are empty.

Hi,

If I understand correctly, you Can do this with a formula, but I'm not certain of your requirements.

Please explain further, and also if you prefer VBA or formula.
