Hello.

I get a monthly report of fuel drawn by our vehicles at filling stations.

The report states that registration ABC 123 drew 100 litres, EFG 456 drew 120 litres etc. and the date and location.

I need to add details of the group the vehicle is assigned to.

Can I format a sheet to automatically pick up that CDE 234 is in group B, etc?

The report I get can't be changed by the supplier to include the group details, and with hundreds of vehicles it is not a manual task.

I can copy and paste the details of registration, fuel, location, date etc. from the report and use that information.

Thank you.

Excel Facts

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
I missed that registrations will appear on the report multiple times each month.

Welcome to the MrExcel board!

Is it something like this that you are after?

BTW, I suggest that you investigate XL2BB for providing sample data to make it easier for helpers by not having to manually type out sample data to test with.
(If you have trouble with XL2BB, review the "XL2BB Icons greyed out" link in the 'Known XL2BB issues' section near the top of the XL2BB Instructions page linked above.)
