Hi trying to complete a vba code that I am working on. I need to add small vba pop box.

Need a pop up box saying "Enter check #" and the number I add will always go into cell E2.

Any help thanks

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
At is very basic level, it would be something like this:
Code:
    checkNum = InputBox("Enter check #")
    Range("E2") = checkNum
You could add more to it if you wanted to validate the entries, etc.

Try
Code:
Sub ckno()
cknum = InputBox("Enter check number")
Range("E2") = cknum

End Sub
