Good Morning,

I have recently took over doing the league stats for my boyfriends local small pool league. The previous person did not correct stats just picked numbers. So, they each have a player rating assigned to them. I feel like this rating should be based off of some sort of formula. There was no one in the stat spreadsheet. So I am attempting to start from scratch. I’ve attached a picture of the stats used each week. I’m at a loss and I feel as if I am making it more complicated than it needs to be. I have free rein to make the formula what I need it to be with whatever variables. But I keep hitting a wall. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
Hi Kyrad,
Your screenshot is too hard to read. Post an example sheet so we can see the real data to better assist you.

Let me know if these work better. The blue and orange is the spreadsheet I was given with no formulas. The white is the ratings that are sent out every week. I’m not sure if how they got from point A to point B. I just need to figure out a formula to calculate rating based on who shoots who and win loss ratio. I feel like I’m overthinking way too much. But the numbers make no sense.

I guess my main thing is I am trying to come up with a formula for player rating. I was looking into ELO. But I am not sure how to do the formula that it automatically updates each week that if player A shoots player B and wins. That player A’s rating goes up and Player B’s goes down.
