This is question concerning podcast 584 refreshable validation

I understand how it works, but was wondering if there is a way to make a 2 column table from this refreshable list

but use the table name in a vlookup formula
if more info need let me know

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Sure - that should work. When you define the dynamic range in the Define Name dialog, you would change the final 1) to a 2).

Then - =VLOOKUP(A1,ServList,2,False)

What would the offset formula be for the table if in column a & B in the define name?
