Plotting Time Intervals as Y Axis on Chart

Hello,

I have a chart where my Y axis is a measurement of time. I want it to range from 0 minutes to 60 minutes, with the gridlines being intervals of 15 minutes.

The data that the chart is being populated with is data in the format of mm:ss.

My Axis Options are set to the following:
Minimum (Fixed) - 0.0
Maximum (Fixed) - 0.0416666666667
Major Unit (Fixed) - 0.0104166666667
Minor (Auto)

My problem is that more than half of them seem to be plotting all the way so the maximum value, which is showing as 00:00. My first question is 1) how do I format the axis to be h:mm:ss instead of hh:mm. My second question is why are there so many bars in my bar chart that go all the way up to the top of the chart? The problematic bars have the following values:

45:11
39:49
36:42
06:30
26:11
12:26
10:21

Thanks in advance for your help.

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Your data may be interpreted by Excel as Hrs:Mn instead of Minutes:Seconds. What is the data's time format as seen in the formula bar and not as displayed? It should be 00:00:00 AM\PM

To set the Y-axis format, right-click on any value on the y-axis and select Format Axis from the pop-up context menu. Then set the format from the Number tab.

AlphaFrog,

You solved my issue! Thanks! Now I just have that one other question and I believe my issues will be solved. Do you know what I need to do so that I can have the chart show from 0 mins to 60 mins on the y axis with tick marks at each 15 min interval?

My Axis Options are set to the following:
Minimum (Fixed) - 0.0
Maximum (Fixed) - 0.0416666666667
Major Unit (Fixed) - 0.0104166666667
Minor (Auto)

Thanks again!

Those min\max\unit scale settings look good.

Format the Y axis using [h]:mm:ss number format.
