Hi There. Is Excel capable of creating a horizontal graph whose major ticks are the first of each month and also plot two series of data whose dates do not align with each other? For example, I am creating a 2D Line Chart with markers and formatting the horizontal axis to start at the beginning of each month (I can't seem to get it to format that way with an XY Scatter chart), say from January 1, 2014 to January 1, 2015. Then say I want to plot one set of DataA whose x values fall in between those dates and another set of DataB whose x values also fall in between those dates, but are different from those of DataA. Can this be done? Thanks in advance.

Hi

Enter the second and the third series as scatter. This enables you to define their own X values. (You have to send them to the secondary axes.)
Align the primary and secondary X and Y axes, setting the same values for the minimum and maximum values. Then hide the secondary axes.
