Please wait, your macro is running.

Hi,

After reading a lot on Internet, I'm asking for help. I've a macro which takes around 3-4 mins to complete. I want to show user a notification while that macro is running that "macro is running" and automatically disappear the notification once macro is completed.

I've already checked the user form progress bar but I want only notification.

Can anyone suggest anything?

Hi mhdakhtar8,

You can use the status bar (bottom of the workbook) to do this like so:

Option Explicit
Sub Macro1()

    Application.StatusBar = "Please wait, your macro is running..." 'Start of your macro
    
    'Your code here
    
    Application.StatusBar = "" 'End of your macro

End Sub

You could also add code lines I posted in red to Robert's code to make sure the cursor shows the "I'm working" icon when over the Excel window during the code's execution.
