I am relatively new to Excel and need to figure out how to do the following for a project dashboard template:

For example:

Cell A2 is 2014/01/01 (YYYY-MM-DD)
Cell B2 is 2014/03/01

Cells C2-N2 will represent 12 months duration of projects. I need some kind or formula or conditonal formatting to shade the cells from C2-N2 that correspond to the date ranges in Cell A2-B2.

I've tried conditional formatting but cannot figure out how to do this. Any ideas?
