I have a very annoying problem...

Cells that I have formatted as numbers are automatically changing themselves to date format!

This is very painful as I have some large files & then need to individually select all these cells & change their format back to numbers.

Does anyone why this is happening & possibly have a solution?

MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Hi dunmore83,

When you say the cell format is changing from number to date, what has happened in between? Are you copying or importing data into these cells? If so, what is the original source the data is coming from? It is possible that the source format is date and this is being carried over when the data is pasted / imported in.
