a) for table 1, if there is value corresponding to X,Y,Z, then its TRUE. If no value, i.e. empty, it is FALSE. so you can imagine the following combinations are possible: TTT,TTF,TFT,FTT,FFF,FFT,FTF,TFF

b) Assuming its TTT, my objective is to check if 'a' meets the criteria by comparing "the values entered in table 1 with the values entered in table 2" below. e.g, from table 1: X >8, Y >2, Z <3, AND from table 2:, X=9, Y=1,Z=4 which means only one condition, i.e. for X is being met. So empty cell is returned.

c) NOw I need to devise a formulae, that can take into account all the possible combinations and evaluate the entries in table 2.



What i have done:

using If(And() functions, i have isolated the 8 different conditions for each of TFF,FTT, etc.

I tried using an OR function to combine all 8 conditions simulatenously but the formulae doesnt work.

Please advice.

Hi, welcome to the board.

Your post is a little unclear.

Can you try posting a couple of the If(And() functions you have now for the individual conditions, and maybe also the OR function, even if it doesn't work, so that we can get an idea of what you want to do ?
