Hi, I wasn't able to find the answer to my question online and have no idea what I'm doing in Excel.

Out of a spreadsheet with thousands of company names and their associated data, I have a specific list of companies that I need email addresses for. Instead of manually searching for each one, is there a function I can use to determine the email addresses for me? I think I'm basically trying to do a VLOOKUP without any values.

Any help is appreciated. :)

Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
VLOOKUP can search for many types of data, including both text and numbers.

For example:

=VLOOKUP("Bob Smith",A1:G100,4,0)

=VLOOKUP(134,A10:F22,6,0)

=VLOOKUP(A2,G1:M100,5,0)

Where A2 has a value that exists in the first column of the range, e.g. G1:G100.

Thank you so much. Your first example formula worked. I wasn't putting a "0" at the end and was instead entering "false."

Welcome to the MrExcel board!
Using FALSE instead of 0 is exactly the same, provided that you don't enclose it in quote marks.
