Hi, I would like to make up an excel spreadsheet for our vehicle maintenance. some are inspected at 6 weeks and others are at 8 weeks. I would like excel to highlight the due dates 7 days before the inspection dates are due is this possible?
I copied blew formula from another post but It works until 9 weeks. when I put the number 10 or bigger it gives me the wrong answer.

Say you have the last inspection date in A2 and B2 says either "6 weeks" or "8 weeks" then in C2 this formula =A2+LEFT(B2)*7
Thanks

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
you are only taking the 1st digit, so 10 would actually just show 1 - hence the error
assuming the text in B2 always has a space and you only need upto 99 weeks
=A2+LEFT(B2,2)*7
