PivotTable - stop resizing columns

I get increasingly annoyed with resizing column width in pivot table every time when I drag new field or calculation. My header names go 'funny' and I have to spend time to change width of each column so they are readable again. It is just really annoying.

Google says to un-check "Autofit column widths on update" option in PivotTable Options but it simply doesnt work.

Please help ...
 

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
That option has always worked for me. Is it remaining unchecked when you do it?
