Hello,

I have a spreadsheet, data is always being added to the spreadsheet, and therefore I need to update the PivotTable.

However, I'm frequently getting error messages upon refresh.

With the first one, I do what the error message says, I close the workbook, reopen, refresh the PivotTable and it works!

With the second error message, this seems to crop up about 60% of the time.

I just don't understand it, it's very intermittent, the data I'm inputting (copy and pasting) is consistent with the previous data thats there.

With the PivotTable I have, I tick the 'Add this data to the Data Model', because my PivotTable requires distinct count function.

Might this have something to do with it? Does anyone have any experience of this error messages?

Thanks!

Edit: I should add I also change the data sample to the smallest range to see if that works (like four cells, two rows and two columns) and still getting these messages.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
