PivotTable Column Addition

I am running XL 2004 on Mac OSX 10.6.

I created a 3 column list

I created a pivottable based on that list.

NOW I add an extra column to LIST and need to be able to modify the Pivottable to include the missing column.

There doesn't seem to be a way, (short of VBA programming) to modify the structure of a PIVOTTABLE once it is created.

Do I have that right?

I don't have a Mac and thus can't verify the config of 2004 but in 2003 you could initiate the PT Wizard -> Back Step -> reset Range as desired.

Going forward you could consider using a Dynamic Named Range as your source for the PT thus should you add/remove rows/columns the PT source range would adapt accordingly
Note: you would still need to manually Refresh the PT as and when - unless you used VBA - but all relevant data would be available.

For more info. on Dynamic Named Ranges see: http://www.contextures.com/xlNames01.html
