Pivot with formula for blanks

I have a sheet, where it points to another sheet. The formula under the heading tracking number is IF(DropIn!G2="","",DropIn!G2). The problem is when I pivot, I am getting a count of all cells where the formula is not just tracking number. I know I can change the pivot each time to remove the blanks under row labels, however, I just want the user to refresh the pivot each time he updates the spreadsheet, without have to uncheck that. Is there a way to have the pivot only work on cells that have data as opposed to "". Thank You

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
