Pivot to Access

I have a 40,000 row x 11 column spreadsheet that I use all the time - adding about 746 rows per month.

I analyse this using a pivot table - which works great for me.

I guess at some point the memory will give up on me in excel and I was wondering if there is an easy path to take, to get all the data into access and still retain the ease of use that I have, for quick analysis in excel through the pivots?

Thanks for any thoughts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Hi Rich. Like you I am a power PIVOT TABLE user and love them. Bets tool Microsoft has ever added to Excel. I am still new to Access, but have found that while the inital set up takes a while, the payoff is well worth it. Of course it really depends on your goal, but I have found that well designed tables, queries, and reports are huge time savers for me. Good luck.

Rich,

You may also want to look at the Cross-Tab Query. It has a very Pivot Table feel to it.

Hope this helps!
