Hey everyone its been a few years since I accessed the board.

My question is I have a table that is generated through another program into excel. I created the Pivot Table off of this table. But ever time I generate the table the pivot table loses settings. How do I keep this static?

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
try to use PoqwerQuery (Get&Transform) and define all settings there (like data type, date etc...) then create Pivot Table from Query-Table

"Poqwer" LOL

Ideally you save over the previous file and update the Query and Pivot Table.
If you have to archive the downloads, there would be a couple different strategies...

While a VBA to transform a Table into a Pivot Table is possible, and I have one, the PowerQuery to PivotTable is better.
