Hello,

I have an AVG formula outside the pivot table but the data referred in the AVG formula is in the Pivot table. I have a "Grand Total" column in my Pivot table which is the Avg formula reference. As an when I change the pivot criteria "Grand Total " column moves due to the data but the Avg formula does not select the grand total column as the formula is outside Pivot. Please provide me a column formula which identifies the "Grand Total" column reference

I used Match function it provides me the column number but I require column letter.

Thanks,
Ron..

Why do you need the column letter? What formula are you using?

ID TYPE JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL GRAND TOTAL
A REPAIR 1 6 4 8 1 20
B SALE 6 2 5 5 18
C REPAIR 45 4 4 53
D SALE 2 2 4
E CUSTOM 5 2 7

Above is the pivot table example, I want to take the AVERAGE of each ID, this average formula is outside the pivot table as and when I filter the TYPE in the table the average formula should change the range as there are bank columns, for instance when I filter SALE Grand total in the Pivot moves two columns back as there is no data but the average formula will calculate even grand total column which it should not. I hope this helps.

That doesn't answer either of my questions I'm afraid.
