I am going to try to ask my question another way b/c I have not received any response to my 1st question. Is there a way in excel 2007 to keep all formatting (including highlights) of the pivot detail when selecting cells in a pivot table? Currently my pivot table will pull the detail but does not keep any formatting.
Thanks.

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
I'm not sure what exactly you mean by "selecting cells in a pivot table", but I suspect the answer is no.

I just mean that I highlight some of the rows of the detail. Then I create the pivot based on that data. When I select a certain the cell for the information I want to look at in detail, the data will pull and even have the same column widths but the rows that were highlighted are no longer highlighted. I appreciate you answering me so that I can move on and come up with a new solution. Thanks!!!
