Row_Sort_Issue.jpg

Currently we are using Dynamic Great Plains for our MRP system. I'm trying to make a report that shows a bunch of information and i'm having a very hard time sorting the data so i will try and list everything I have so far.
We have a view that was created in SQL that is helping us pull various data into excel including some custom data. We connect in excel using the data from other sources, and pull in the data. We are not sorting the data in any fashion during this query.

I then use the "summarize in pivot table" function to analyze the data and make it more presentable. I place my filter, labels and then values. All goes in without any issues except for the sorting of the data in one of the rows. You can see the screen shot I arround the pivot table by alloy (1st column), core size (2nd), flux (3rd), dia of material (4th), part number (6th), order number (6th) and ship date (7th)

I sort by the following in ascending order alloy (1st), core size (2nd), flux (3rd) and ship date (4th) The issue that I'm having is that the "dia of material (4th column)" is overriding the ship date column. I need to sort by ship date but the dia is overriding and sorting by smallest to largest. I'm not sure what to do. I've played with the options/totals and filters/use custom lists when sorting function and it still doesn't work.

Does anyonehave any suggestions? Please help

I can send anyone screen shot if needed. They won't allow me to post picture since I'm new :)
Thanks
Scott

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
I'm pretty sure that the sorting is hierarchial so you would need to move the date field up to the diameter field for it to sort everything else.
